Studio Recitals
Twice per year, students are invited
to participate in a recital. All students are invited to perform a solo
that they have prepared in preparation for the event. These events
historically have been extremely well-attended. The last recital boasted
28 solo performers and 119 audience members. Recitals are optional, but
strongly recommended.
Parlor Recitals
Intimate recitals are held in the Recital Parlor, where students can
plan and host a small performance for up to 18 guests.
The
intimate setting is a perfect place to relax by the fireplace and enjoy the
accomplishments of a burgeoning musician.

Concerts
Students, especially the younger players, are encouraged to perform at
some of our numerous outdoor concerts throughout the year. Players perform
as a group to celebrate holidays or other special occasions and to provide
entertainment to guests during downtown events.
Recordings
As students progress with their studies,
they are encouraged to record their work.
When they have compiled a quality collection of recordings, their work is
released on CD. This is a valuable learning tool, as students can
track their progress and learn about the
professional recording process.
Students who show exceptional motivation
are able to use the recording studio to create a deluxe recording.
Maestro Studios Certificate
Program
With this incentive program, students are encouraged to
earn awards based on hard work rather than difficulty of repertoire.

American String Teachers Association
Certificate Program
The American String Teachers Association (ASTA) has
developed a certificate program which provides string students with a
flexible, semi-standardized curriculum.
It is broken into 11 levels of proficiency and students
can audition once per year for certification through ASTA. For more
information, please email
or visit www.astaweb.com.
