Recitals & Concerts
Full Recitals
About twice per year, students are invited
to participate in a recital. All students are invited to perform a solo
that they have prepared in preparation for the event. These events
historically have been extremely well-attended. The last recital boasted
28 solo performers and 119 audience members. Recitals are optional, but
strongly recommended.
Parlor Recitals
Intimate recitals are held in the Recital Parlor, where students can
plan and host a small performance for up to 18 guests.
The
intimate setting is a perfect place to relax by the fireplace and enjoy the
accomplishments of a burgeoning musician.
Parlor Recitals are broadcast live over the
internet. Follow the link on the home page to watch during any parlor
recital.

Concerts
Students, especially the younger players, are encouraged to perform at
some of our numerous outdoor concerts throughout the year. Players perform
as a group to celebrate holidays or other special occasions and to provide
entertainment to guests during downtown events.
Recordings
As students progress with their studies,
they are encouraged to record their work.
When they have compiled a quality collection of recordings, their work is
released on CD. This is a valuable learning tool, as students can
track their progress and learn about the
professional recording process.
Students who show exceptional motivation
are able to use the recording studio to create a deluxe recording.
Ensembles
The Cantabile and Cantando
Chamber Ensembles, formed in February of 2006, are for
ages 10-15. Enrollment is by audition. These ensembles provide serious
students an outlet for their talent and a valuable education in chamber
music.
Segno Adult Chamber Ensemble
Many of the students at Maestro Studios are adults. This
ensemble, geared toward the intermediate adult, provides an opportunity to
play music with a group of peers and perform in public, which is a vital
aspect of musical education. In December of 2007, Segno performed
its first paying gig.
Other
Opportunities
Classes including music theory, music
history and programs for children will be offered mostly during the summer
months based on local interest. Please check back or
email for more details.
